MSI – Micro-Star International – has presented a new notebook on the Wind series called U100-Windows. If you’re a Linux fan and don’t give a damn about Microsoft, there is another alternative provided by MSI which is the U100-Linux. The differences between laptops seems to be the operative system, price and a couple of features. While the Windows version costs $500, the Linux one is priced at $400.
Anyway, the U100-Windows boasts an Intel Atom processor running at 1.6GHz, a 80GB Sata hard-drive, 6-cell battery, and 1GB of RAM memory.
Other specs that are the same for both laptops include WiFi, Ethernet, 1.3-megapixel webcam, 4-in-1 memory card reader, VGA out, and lastly, 56k modems.
MSI’s mini-laptops come in white, black, and pink colors.
