The Spanish company Keruve has a new GPS offering that will be particularly interesting for parents. It comes with a special bracelet that communicates with the GPS device, so that you can locate whoever is wearing it.

The bracelete is waterproof and designed to stay on your wrist. It can only be removed by a special tool, so if someone were to kidnap your child, or your child were to run off, the wrist band would stay attached.

Another use for this would be with Alzheimer’s patients.

The bracelet transmits using GSM1800 and GSM900 networks. The device even uses triangulation services to estimate the location of the wearer indoors where no GPS signal is available.

Currently the device is only available in Europe and will set you back 850 Euros according to Gadgetell.
