Hitachi has announced a new full HD capable DZ-VD10H camcorder. It touts a built-in Blu-ray recorder in addition to a 7-megapixel 1/2.7 CMOS sensor, a 10x optical zom, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. Throw in a 30 GB hard drive, an HDMI output, and a SD/SDHC slot for storage expansion.
Users will be able to select from the following five modes; HX (1920 x 1080) at 15Mbps, HF at 11Mbps, HS at 7.5 Mbps, SX at 9Mbps and the LF at 6Mpbs. The device will cost you $1,480, and its only set for release in Japan at this point. It may, however, make its way to US shores one day.
