We’d all love to have one of those holographic computer thingies from “Minority Report” that Tom Cruise used to flick through images. Obscura Digital has something that is getting close to making that a reality. The company’s new VisionAire technology can sense where a presenter is standing and allow them to use multi-touch technology to manipulate a 3D hologram.

The video above is a recent demonstration of the technology, and its very impressive. Right now its too expensive to be practical for anything other than a big show presentation - but as it evolves, this could find more realistic uses…maybe even in a police station one day…you know, where they convict you BEFORE you actually commit the crime.
