If you’re not a fan of being rustled from sleep with a loud noise then this concept by designer Alfie Lake. It’s called the Osim Nioi Alarm Clock and it has three slots that you can load with different smells - both to help wake you up - and put you to sleep.

You can put a fresh flower scent cartridge in one slot for drifting off to slumberland, and have another cartridge wake you up to the smell of fresh bread in the morning.

Of course, it would really suck to wake up to the smell of fresh bread and not actually have fresh bread there to eat…but maybe that’s just me.
