T-Mobile Reviews Round-up
October 16, 2008 | In: Android, Cellular Phones, G1
T-Mobile’s G1 is getting a lot of hype this week, and with good reason. The G1 is the first true iPhone rival to enter the market since the launch of Apple’s device in 2007. Sure, you can make claims that the “LG Dare” or the “Instinct” are iPhone rivals – but the truth is, both of those phones fail miserably when truly compared to Apple’s phone..and both of them look like knock-off imitations.
The G1, on the other hand, is a entirely new force, and is a really compelling, innovative, and unique product. The phone will officially be out in the wild next Weds, and reviews are starting to come in from a variety of places. So here’s a round-up of some of the best looks at the phone.
Engadget – The team over at Engadget has written a massive review, covering all aspects of the device.
Gizmodo – Not to be outdone, the other gadget blog has an in-depth look at the device as well.
Apple Gazette – You can also find an objective, hands on, look at the phone over at our sister blog Apple Gazette. I had a chance to try out the phone yesterday, and was able to give my impressions of the device after spending a short time with it. This is the only “review” that I know of from an Appleholic that actually has nice things to say about the device…so take that for what it’s worth.
