R.I.P. VHS Player 1975 – 2008

Right it down ladies and gentlemen. October 27th, 2008 is officially the day the VCR died.

I know – you probably haven’t thought about the VCR in a very long time. Maybe not even this century – but JVC was holding on for dear life. They actually just stopped producing stand alone players yesterday.

For those of you that still have a large library of VHS tapes, and you’re afraid your player is going to be dust soon – then you might want to go out and buy a VHS player while supplies last.

You’ll also see VHS/DVD player combos still in production for the time being, but their days are numbered too.
