A Post-Steve Jobs Apple
January 8, 2009 | In: Apple
With Apple’s main man Steve Jobs finally coming clean on his health condition and with the company’s withdrawal from Macworld, what is a post-Steve Jobs gadget world going to be like?
The news that Jobs’ health condition was related to a hormone imbalance made Apple stocks rebound, however a non-Jobs Macworld keynote address made everyone turn their heads.
The Macworld keynote address was delivered this year not by Jobs but by Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller, which serves as a wake-up call that Jobs won’t always be there to hold Apple’s gadget hands. This begins a new era for the company who is showing trends of concentrating on services and content rather than the newest gadgets.
How do you feel about a post-Jobs Apple world? Bleak?
