steve-jobs-steps-down.jpgApple CEO Steve Jobs has announced that he will be taking a leave of absence through June for his health issues.  Jobs stated that his health issues are “more complex” than was originally thought.

Writing an email to employees, Jobs revealed he was taking the leave, ”in order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products”.

The Apple tech guru disclosed on January 5 that he was being treated for a hormone imbalance, which may have been tied to his previous bought with pancreatic cancer, and is now stating that his health-related issues are more complex than originally thought.

Jobs has asked COO Tim Cook to look after the day-to-day operations at Apple.

This will be an interesting time for Apple and we’ll all be watching to see what they can do without Jobs.
