Sanyo Announces New Flash-Based Navigation Systems

sanyo-flash-based-gpsNo matter what they’re doing, Sanyo always seems to stay on top of the market, like a consumer peanut butter.

Last year the company was one of the first to get solid state storage into GPS systems and now they’re at it again, though this time flash-based navigation systems are their mark.

The new NVA-GS1409DT and NVA-GS1609FT systems from the AV Gorilla line, each feature a QVGA (480 x 240) display, integrated DVD player, digital TV tuner, 3D maps and 16GB slab of flash memory.

The only bad news is that the June release of the NVA-GS1409DT and NVA-GS1609FT will see a hefty tag of $1,423.
