Blu-Ray Has New Competiton With CBHD

We all thought we could relax with Blu-Ray winning the war over HD DVD, didn’t we? Well, apparently it’s not over till the fat lady sings.
And the fat lady in this situation turns out to be China Blue Hi-definition Disk, or CBHD. This new HD rival is a new HD video format that is based on Toshiba’s HD DVD format. With the backing of the Chinese government, CBHD is already outselling Blu-Ray in China and some analysts think this will soon be the top choice among consumers in the next 12 months.
