Google Asked Sony Ericsson To Make Nexus One?

Woah, talk about some juicy news. Sony Ericcson’s CEO Bert Nordberg revealed to a Swedish publication that Google asked the company to build the now infamous Nexus One before they asked HTC.
Wow. Isn’t this like getting asked to the prom only to find out that they asked someone before you and the whole thing makes everyone look tacky? Apparently Sony Ericcson refused the deal, fearing brand dilution or something else wonky. Wonder if they’re shooting themselves in the foot now?
