Handmade Japanese Green Cars
March 4, 2010 | In: Car Gadgets, Cars Trucks
Family-run business, Takeoka Jidosha Kogei, in Toyama, Japan is the antithesis of Nissan and Honda due to more than size, each eco-friendly car is made by hand.
With no robotic equipment in sight, Takeoka Jidosha Kogei makes their small green cars with about a dozen mechanics crafting each car by hand, right up to adding the headlights.
The wee little cars run around $9,600 and runs on a lithium-ion battery, which can be charged a conventional wall socket when not in use.
We can’t help but love that a small family-run business is taking green cars to a whole new level.
