Confirmed: Only Way To Get Windows 7 Apps Is Via Marketplace

Well, Engadget has the scoop for us after having a meeting with Microsoft’s Todd Biggs who revealed to the team that the only way to get official apps to your Windows Phone 7 Series is by way of the Windows Phone Marketplace.
Wow, talk about ouch. This will mean that developers will have to abide by any and all Microsoft guidelines for them to be hosted on Marketplace to begin with. Great, another iTunes-like porn debacle is well on its way, isn’t it?
