new iphone newsSmall Canadian carrier SaskTel’s CEO Robert Watson may have gotten the drop on a new Apple iPhone release date, despite the size of his, ummm, company.

About the size of Cincinnati Bell for the US, SaskTel is a small but legitimate carrier based in Saskatchewan.  Anyhoo, CEO Watson was talking about how his company will be going live with their own 3G network come July 1st and the olde boy let a little something slip about a possible upcoming iPhone.

Here, he says it best, “The good news is that (Apple) is coming out with a new version of the iPhone in the June time-frame and they’re going to put us on that. So we’re quite excited about that.”

Hrmmm.  A new version of the iPhone you say?  Hrmmmm.
