New Firefox 4 Offers More Controls & Privacy

May 12, 2010 | In: Browsers

firefox 4According to Yahoo, the next version of web browser Firefox will be giving users more control over privacy while paring down the menus and options.

Firefox 4, due out by the close of the year, will be concentrating on giving you more control over what information is gathered by cookies while better describing the relationships with websites more simply.

While FF is making privacy more in your control, they will be taking away a few buttons and menu options to give the browser a sleeker and faster feel.  Mozilla reveals that few people actually use the menus they will be taking out, and it will make the whole Web browsing that much faster.

Firefox director of development, Mike Beltzner, states, “The simpler an interface looks, the faster it will seem.”

Hrmm, wonder if Firefox 4 will be just as much a success as the current model.
