Google Scraps Nexus One Online Store

Well, it looks like Google is scrapping the Nexus One online store almost right after the site was debuted.
Google engineering VP Andy Rubin revealed in a recent blog post that the company will be closing the Android-based Nexus One direct-order site, stating, “As with every innovation, some parts worked better than others. While the global adoption of the Android platform has exceeded our expectations, the Web store has not.”
Of course Google will still be offering the handset via the traditional retail and carrier stores but the ease of buying the Nexus One on the direct-buy site has certainly been taken away.
