Time Warner Cable Pitches Theater On Demand

May 25, 2010 | In: movies

Time Warner Cable has just pitched an idea that we can totally get behind, home cinema on demand.  This new idea would allow you to instantly watch movies at home 3o days after their cinematic release for around $20 to $30, popcorn not included.

This 30-day home distribution method cuts the general 4-month movie-to-DVD wait time significantly, which means that movie theaters will have more competition earlier in a film’s run. (It should be noted, however, that no studio has signed any new deals just yet.)

Please sign us up now!  But we might wait till the TV version of the new Robin Hood comes out, we’re sure that TBS will be playing that baby 24/7 in no time.
