Woman Sues Google After Bad Walking Directions
June 2, 2010 | In: gadget news, google
So if you ask a random person on the street for directions to such and such you wouldn’t really sue them if you got yourself into some trouble, now would you? Well it looks like Lauren Rosenberg is doing just that, but to Google.
Last January Rosenberg typed an address into her Blackberry and was given walking directions for safe pedestrian travel but the directions led her to a busy highway and was consequently struck by a car and is now suing Google, along with the car’s driver, for damages.
This situation leads of course to the question, is Google legally liable for their directions if something should mishap or are you, as usual in one’s life, responsible for your actions and common sense?
You tell us, as you can kinda see what direction we’re blowing in the proverbial wind.
