ESPN 3D Channel World Cup Starts Tomorrow

June 10, 2010 | In: 3D Gadgets

/>The 2010 World Cup starts tomorrow and ESPN’s new 3D channel has been able to sign up three major advertisers for the event.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Sony, Gillette and Pixar 3-D ads, given you own a 3DTV that is.

It’s not the first 3D game ESPN has broadcast, with a couple of Masters Tournament golf matches being screened previously, but it’s going to be the first showing which could potentially lure in the viewers. It’s little wonder then that Sony has chosen to hire Real Madrid footballer Kaka for their advert; Pixar will be showing off the soon-to-be-released 3D film Toy Story 3 and Procter & Gamble has worked on an ad for the Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor.

With few 3D Blu-rays and broadcasting options available so far, and even fewer 3DTV sets available to purchase, we’ll be veeeeery interested to hear how many people tune in for ESPN’s 3D World Cup coverage.
