Consumer Reports Says They Can’t Recommend Apple iPhone 4

We’re not sure how much stock you actually put into Consumer Reports, but it does make a mark that they recently came out with the news that they cannot recommend the new Apple iPhone 4 due to what’s being called the death grip.

If you are holding the iPhone 4 with your left hand, your body apparently will generate electrical interferences that will degrade the handset’s signal, and you may experience dropped calls, significant data download slowdowns or disconnections.

Apple is working on repairing the problem but in effect it would NOT be a software fix as many sources are reporting, it would have to be a hardware fix next go-round.  A few things you can do are to get a $1 band for the 4G, add a piece of duct tape to that side of the phone or buy an Android.

One thing we’re considering, since the white version of the iPhone 4 isn’t out yet, we’re wondering if this particular issue will be repaired when the phone debuts.
