Amazon Cloud Player Goes Live

March 29, 2011 | In: Cloud Storage

As we all speculated that it might, Amazon has now officially gone live with their own cloud-based media streaming service.

Amazon Cloud Player is live and ready to use right now and for 5GB of storage, it’s free, though of course you’ll eventually be asked if you’d like to upgrade to the 20 GB storage plan with a free MP3 album purchase through Amazon.

Here’s how it works, once you’ve added your media to the Cloud Drive, you can stream all you want through Amazon’s Cloud Player for Web or the Cloud Player for Android app, sorry Apple users.

Looks like Amazon is really hanging in there these days, eh?
