3D Movies Losing Audiences?

Well it looks like 3D may be losing its appeal in American audiences and even though we’ve never been a big fan of this rather gimmicky technology, it’s interesting news, given its craze last year.
According to a report, while the new Pirates of the Caribbean flick is doing well in the theaters, only 38% of tickets sold are being attributed to 3D tickets. Now compare that with last year’s Shrek Forever’s 3D revenue which made up 54% as well as How To Train Your Dragon, which was around 57% and you can see that either cartoon films are doing better in 3D or it’s losing its appeal.
How often do you head to a 3D flick? Are you will to shell out the extra dough or just see it regular like?
