Back to the Future-Inspired Nike MAG Shoes Hit $4,000

Woah! The Nikemag.ebay.com Back to the Future-inspired Nike MAG shoes auction that started at a mere $.99 has just reached $4,000 and the auction is not even close to being over.
Of course it’s all for a good cause, with the proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. An amazing bonus is that co-founder of Google Sergey Brin and wife Anne Wojcick will be matching up to $50 million in funds raised by the Foundation between now and December 31, 2012. And with more than a year to go, this seems like a pretty reasonable target.
We’re left wondering that if these shoes weren’t open to just US residents, what would the auction price look like…?
