Hipster’s VHS Hard Drives
October 25, 2011 | In: Storage Devices
Ahhh, we’ve recycled yon calculator watches for the hipsters and we’ve even given them back their 1950s nerd glasses. Now they want our VHS tapes and since they’re one step into the garbage, we guess we’ll relent on this one as well.
Back in the days of the Sony Walkman, VHS tapes roamed the earth, wild and alert, awaiting for their next playtime and now, with a little help from our friends, you can step back into the 80’s time machine with VHS tape hard drives. Yep, you heard right. VHS tape hard drives.
These tapes have been gutted and configured in a way that you can use your old Muppet Movie to hold external hard drives of various capacities, ranging from 320GB to 500GB, 640GB and even on up to 750GB. Wowzers. The pictured Star Wars hard drive is of the 750GB variety and is sure to fit any and all hipster needs, for $130 that is.
