EA Games President Confirmed Battlefield 4 Game?

While speaking at a college campus EA Games president Frank Gibeau may have accidentally put his gaming foot in his mouth and inadvertently confirmed Battlefield 4. Oops.
With the huge success of the Battlefield series the company will of course want to keep the franchise going as long as possible, especially with the alongside success of their Call of Duty competition.
Coming to the PR rescue, EA Games was very quick to clarify that the statement made by president Gibeau was only in broad terms about the Battlefield brand, and not of the existence of the Battlefield 4 game itself. It’s interesting to note here that EA Games did not outrightly deny the possibility of Battlefield 4, so there is hope as of yet.
The actual words used at the University of California? “There is going to be a Battlefield 4.”
‘Frank was speaking broadly about the Battlefield brand – a brand that EA is deeply passionate about and a fan community that EA is committed to,’ an EA spokesperson clarified after the remarks were made.
One can’t help but wonder if this whole thing has been a publicity stunt….
