And here I thought we had all this behind us, on top of the fact that Macs aren’t even really supposed to get sick anyway. Symantec is reporting that over 140,000 Macs are still currently infected with the craptastic Flashback trojan.
Apple’s latest update was supposedly going to be able to completely remove the trojan, especially after all the bad press the company has received over this mishap, but it doesn’t look like the cows are herded back into the stalls quite yet, as they say. Or rather as they don’t actually say but sounds kinda good.
While 140,000 Mac computers are still infected, compared with 600,000, we’re getting someplace. But that means that there are, wait lemme do the math, 25% left infected and you need to scan you damn Mac, cause you could also be infecting others. The scanning software and removal tools are free, so get on it people! Don’t let the Trojans win!
