I know, I know, I know.  Reportedly, rumoredly and other adverbly, this could be just another lack of information Apple iPad 3 tease, but then again AllThingsD sometimes does end up having the up and up scoop on things.

So, here she goes, AllThingsD is reporting that Apple will soon be announcing the iPad 3 arrival, most specifically the first week of March in San Francisco.

AllThingsD suggested in their breaking story that Apple will be announcing the arrival of the iPad 3 sometime in the first week of March, where the event will be held in San Francisco. Of course, we would think that the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts would be the venue, as it has been Apple’s preferred location for major announcements in recent times. No idea on whether there will be a concrete date released soon, but since we are just into the second week of February, there is still some time left to churn up those muddy waters of Rumor River and see what one can catch.

What’s your call?   Another in a long line of teases that won’t end up being a solid announcement?  And you know, we haven’t even gotten to the many and more posts about expected release date, now have we?

Say hello to you and your kid’s new BFF, Earth Blocks.  Basically now you can feel less guilty about purchasing so many  plastics-based toys when you shell out $30 for a pack of 50 Earth Blocks from the Guggenheim.

This eco-friendly Lego alternative has been carefully made from cedar tree bark, coffee beans and compressed dust from sawn cedar logs, along with a small amount of polypropylene to hold all those good bits together.

Unfortunately, now that we’re going green with our Legos, we’re sorta trading in the green and other vibrant primary colors for the natural hues of coffee and tree bark, but who says you can’t color these with Crayons and the like?!

According to Wal-Mart’s website if you take advantage of the pre-order, Grand Theft Auto V will ship to you June 1, 2012.  Wow, that’s pretty fracking specific, huh?  Wonder who make that mistake over at Wallyworld?

So, either Walmart actually knows the release date or they just selected a random date to insert and we have someone to slap in the IT department versus the Leaky Faucet dept.

We suppose only time will tell, unless we’re lucky enough to get an official comment from Rockstar which is doubtful this far from the rumored release date.

Snoring is embarrassing no matter who’s is the culprit.  It’s something you basically have no control over and if you’re the bedmate of a snorer it can get pretty frustrating pretty fast which is why we’re sorta tickled by the new Jusui-Kun Robotic Stuffed Bear.

This robot bear will actually tickle you with his paw if you begin snoring which is amazing if you ask us.  Basically, the Jusui-Kun user sleeps on top of the bear like a pillow and when snoring is detected the bear will paw your face in order to nudge you past the snoring episode.

The key is to get the snorer sleeping on the pillow to move his or her head from side to side. Jusui-Kun has a built-in mic to detect the sleeper’s snoring, while an equally cuddly hand monitor detects blood oxygen levels, letting the bear know when to issue one of its loving face swipes.

Of course if it were us, this stuffed bear pawing would be such a pawsitive reinforcement that if we snored, which of course we don’t, how dare you even make such an accusation, that we’d sore even more just to feel that soft, cuddly southpaw.

Wow, talk about one of the coolest reveals ever.  First off, the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet shipped ahead of schedule then we heard about apps being sideloaded and root treated and now we have even bigger news regarding this pretty stellar tablet.

Amazon has just released the source code for the Kindle Fire making this the best Kindle release ever.  This move puts Amazon high in our books if you ponder how many OEMs that have yet to release source codes for their Android devices.  Maybe Amazon is trying to tell us something?

While the release of the tablet’s source code won’t mean much to regular folks, this means that developers can start working on custom ROMs for the tablet. Folks who aren’t happy with the Kindle Fire tablet UI will be able to replace it in the future. I wouldn’t be surprised if CyanogenMod pays the Kindle Fire a visit too. It sure looks like Amazon is taking the steps to get their debut tablet right by pleasing both regular consumers and the developer community.

If you pre-ordered your Fire then you more than likely already have the tablet in your greedy little hands, so tell us, is it all that it’s cracked up to be?  Are you in love?

Man, apparently November is the month for user interface facelifts.  With YouTube slowly debuting their new UI, and now Netflix showing off their latest Android Tablet UI, who knows what may be next.  Well, I guess we do.  iPad users can expect a new Netflix interface coming up pronto.

Netflix has been a busy beaver making this new official redesigned user interface just for you beloved Android tablet lovers.  According to the company the updates “makes browsing and instantly watching unlimited TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix better than ever.”

The new look provides multiple rows of titles with larger artwork to scroll through, with Neil Hunt, chief product officer at Netflix, noting that the company has seen a “threefold increase in how long Netflix members are watching on their tablets.” As of today, interested consumers can simply update their Netflix app in the Android Market, while iPad users are being asked to wait “a few weeks,” after which the new tablet experience will be dubbed Tabster and led on Twitter by a 17-year old methamphetamine addict.

Well a big congratulations and hearty celebrations happening this morning with the announcement that you will have a big ole fat surprise in the mail this week.

Instead of the previously announced November 21st arrival date for the Kindle Touch, you will be seeing your Kindle earlier than expected with a ship date this very week.

On another note the Kindle Fire is expected to be hitting the mail stream on November 15, so all in all, this is turning out to be a pretty positive Kindley week, huh?

We have news, good news.  If you’re growing sick of the semi-crappy YouTube user interface hasn’t really kept up with the Joneses, then we have quite the surprising unveiling for you.

On top of the new UI, the new YouTube update will of course be concentrating on Google+, which is no real surprise since we all know how much the company has been trying to bolster interest into their social network.

Other changes include:

• Deeper Google+ integration shows off YouTube content your Circles have shared to Google+, letting you surf user-recommended videos from people you might actually care about.
• New left-column dashboard sorts your Subscriptions and more into easily-clickable sections, including featured videos and recommended content categories.
• Homepage content will be displayed in a single column, putting a focus on larger preview images for videos.
• A slight color scheme tweak (new gray background) highlights content.
• The “fullscreen” button in actual YouTube videos will receive a more user-friendly update, giving viewers the option to shrink, expand or, yes, fullscreen the video.
• Recommended video content pops out when clicked, allowing you to easily exit to where you last were before clicking after viewing.
• Clicking the YouTube logo on the top left of the site will lead to http://www.youtube.com/guide.
• YouTube’s favicon will also be switched out for an updated version.
• Google will soon be launching a new YouTube UI that reportedly will knock your socks off and send them right over to Google+.  Even currently some small changes are being interspersed into the site, though gradually.

Discussed at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show a couple of months back, the PlayStation Suite SDK beta registration is now open for developers who qualify build apps, aka games, for both the Android and Vita platforms.

Windows XP and Windows 7 users who currently live either in the US, UK or Japan are now able to submit credentials to Sony who will now start the highly competitive application process.

For those lucky few that are chosen, you will be able to work on and oversee building apps which will see action on the PS Vita, out February 2012.  And that’s not to mention playing around with PS Suite which will enable access from devices such as Xperia Play, Tablet S and Tablet P.

Basically, if you get the nod from Sony, you will be the envy of your geeked-out friends.

While speaking at a college campus EA Games president Frank Gibeau may have accidentally put his gaming foot in his mouth and inadvertently confirmed Battlefield 4.  Oops.

With the huge success of the Battlefield series the company will of course want to keep the franchise going as long as possible, especially with the alongside success of their Call of Duty competition.

Coming to the PR rescue, EA Games was very quick to clarify that the statement made by president Gibeau was only in broad terms about the Battlefield brand, and not of the existence of the Battlefield 4 game itself.  It’s interesting to note here that EA Games did not outrightly deny the possibility of Battlefield 4, so there is hope as of yet.

The actual words used at the University of California?  “There is going to be a Battlefield 4.”

‘Frank was speaking broadly about the Battlefield brand – a brand that EA is deeply passionate about and a fan community that EA is committed to,’ an EA spokesperson clarified after the remarks were made.

One can’t help but wonder if this whole thing has been a publicity stunt….
