Man, apparently November is the month for user interface facelifts.  With YouTube slowly debuting their new UI, and now Netflix showing off their latest Android Tablet UI, who knows what may be next.  Well, I guess we do.  iPad users can expect a new Netflix interface coming up pronto.

Netflix has been a busy beaver making this new official redesigned user interface just for you beloved Android tablet lovers.  According to the company the updates “makes browsing and instantly watching unlimited TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix better than ever.”

The new look provides multiple rows of titles with larger artwork to scroll through, with Neil Hunt, chief product officer at Netflix, noting that the company has seen a “threefold increase in how long Netflix members are watching on their tablets.” As of today, interested consumers can simply update their Netflix app in the Android Market, while iPad users are being asked to wait “a few weeks,” after which the new tablet experience will be dubbed Tabster and led on Twitter by a 17-year old methamphetamine addict.

Discussed at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show a couple of months back, the PlayStation Suite SDK beta registration is now open for developers who qualify build apps, aka games, for both the Android and Vita platforms.

Windows XP and Windows 7 users who currently live either in the US, UK or Japan are now able to submit credentials to Sony who will now start the highly competitive application process.

For those lucky few that are chosen, you will be able to work on and oversee building apps which will see action on the PS Vita, out February 2012.  And that’s not to mention playing around with PS Suite which will enable access from devices such as Xperia Play, Tablet S and Tablet P.

Basically, if you get the nod from Sony, you will be the envy of your geeked-out friends.

October is right around the corner which means more rotten wisdom teeth, along with the release of Ice Cream Sandwich.  And with the highly anticipated release of Ice Cream Sandwich comes the release of the ever leaked Samsung Nexus Prime.  Da da daaaahhhh.

Twitter users Panda King and pal Tom Flemming have recently revealed a cryptic poem to their followers and folks over at Phandroid have made an attempt to decipher their ramblings, this is what they’ve got going so far from the poem below:

The Nexus Prime is said to be arriving in GSM and CDMA varieties (possibly on all carriers), and will be available as a touchscreen-only version and a keyboard-toting version as well. The device might be named the Galaxy Nexus, while the Verizon version could be called the Droid Prime or Droid Charge 2, and it is rumored to launch in early November. There’s no way to tell if what is written in the poem is the truth, but given @black_man_x’s history there’s likely to be some truth in what he says. Either, stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted on any updates.

While things that go bump in the night, surely give you a fright,

We’re not sure if you’ve been waiting for the tablet-optimized version of Firefox for your beloved Android tablet or not, but either way we have some news in that regards this morning.

Check it out.  Firefox for Android tablets has just entered what we lovingly call the nightly builds stage which means that there’s enough functionality for the public to play around and test the browser before the final release.

Now, don’t go expecting perfection, we’re far from it, but you can feel like you’re one of the team by putting up with bugs, crashes and the usual freezing.  If you’re game, head on over to Nightly Mozilla webpage and get your hands on the download.

As the infamous Tom Waits recently stated, nothing is sacred any longer with these here interwebs and Android is certainly no exception.

Say hello to the newly leaked Android Market.  Yes, while we are still a ways from being able to look Apple’s App Store directly in the eye, we’re getting damn close.

With the new Market users can now use a PIN number to confirm purchases versus having to type all that info in each and every time.  On top of the PIN, the 3.1.3 version of the Android Market will feature the ability to take advantage of the +1 application

Ready to take it for a spin?  Then follow these simple directions and voila! “Unknown Sources” in the Settings > Applications menu.

Get out your Android handsets and get ready to download.  For the next 21 hours or so, the highly rated SwiftKey X virtual keyboard app is free of charge, though tomorrow you will again have to dish out $4 for the bugger.

Probably the best virtual keyboard for Android, Amazon is offering the app gratis is your mobile features Android 2.1 or higher and you type one of the 17 supported languages.

Sadly the tablet version of this app is still $4.99.  Waaa Waaahhhh.

If you’re anxiously tabulating how many minutes you have left on your plan this month, maybe it’s time to finally check out and welcome a new Android app.

Last year the iPhone welcomed into the fold the free VoIP app Viber which allows you to make free calls that will not take away your minutes using 3G or WiFi.  Now the app has finally made it to Android and we couldn’t possibly be any happier.  We’re catching up, you iPhone users!

Usable over 3G or WiFi, with built-in SMS, it requires no registration, using your existing phone number and contact list. Our only quibble? A disheartening lack of Android support. But our spirits are lifted today, with the app making its way to the everyone’s favorite olive-green market. It has all the compelling features of the iOS version, plus a few extras we saw in the limited beta, like pop-up text message notification, in-app call logs, and the option to use Viber as your default dialer. The company must be doing something right, as it claims 12 million active users just seven months after launch.

You can stop crying at long last, the official Scrabble game has made it to your Android smartphone.  Sound the trumpets, hark the heralds, do a jig, Scrabble is here!

Hasbro has just announced that their highly anticipated word game has made it to Android mobiles worldwide so you no longer have to spend your birthday wishes on this one.

Joining Scrabble for iOS and Facebook, Scrabble for Android will also support cross platform gaming to ensure you won’t ever run out of players or friends to pit your word building skills against.

Scrabble for Android also lets you save your games via the Cloud, so you won’t have to worry if you change devices in the middle of a game – you can pick up where you left off. With support for up to 50 games going on at once, you’ll never have to worry about not having enough matches to play. Notifications keep you posted when it’s your turn or when you receive a message from an opponent. Stat tracking also lets you monitor your progress so you know if you’ve been improving.

The first generation HTC Incredible was just that, and on the heels of Android’s taking of the smartphone market.

Now the Verizon Wireless HTC Incredible 2 has been spotted in the wild and it seems quite similar to the HTC Incredible S with rounded corners and a sweet, streamlined look.

Of course, this one sports the Verizon branding, so if it were the same as the Incredible S, then we are talking about an 8-megapixel camera at the back with dual LED flash, as well as the lovely quartet of touch-sensitive Android buttons (Home, Menu, Back and Search) which can orient themselves depending on whether you are looking at the content in landscape or portrait modes. Of course, expect Android 2.2 Froyo to ship with this, and we are quite sure that a Gingerbread update will be on its way. Of course, the battery life is expected to be better than that of the HTC Thunderbolt since this does 3G only.

Check out the newly leaked Nokia E6-00 Smartphone that will soon be become available, though maybe not soon enough.

With a full QWERTY keyboard, sleek VGA resolution touchscreen display, and an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, the upcoming Nokia E6-00 looks pretty tempting.

Specs also include front-facing camera for video calls and a special specific version of Symbian operating system that will go nicely with the 4:3 display aspect ratio.  It’s no iPhone 5, but well, who can really compete with that besides maybe Android…
