Discussed at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show a couple of months back, the PlayStation Suite SDK beta registration is now open for developers who qualify build apps, aka games, for both the Android and Vita platforms.

Windows XP and Windows 7 users who currently live either in the US, UK or Japan are now able to submit credentials to Sony who will now start the highly competitive application process.

For those lucky few that are chosen, you will be able to work on and oversee building apps which will see action on the PS Vita, out February 2012.  And that’s not to mention playing around with PS Suite which will enable access from devices such as Xperia Play, Tablet S and Tablet P.

Basically, if you get the nod from Sony, you will be the envy of your geeked-out friends.

Engadget is right, if you’re a parent with an iPad, say goodbye to your gadget as it’s gonna go right to the kid after you see this pretty effin awesome new app from Disney.

Check out this downloadable Cars 2 app from Appmates and Disney.  See what amazing things happen when we all work together?!  Interactable and easily downloadable, this new app is going to get your beloved iPad covered with more sticky fingerprints than you know what to do with.

The Cars toys are meant to be driven across the top of an iPad, interacting with a downloadable Cars 2 Appmates app, which lets kids drive around courses, race and complete missions. The app will be offered up as a free download through iTunes, and the cars will run $20 for a two-pack — the different toys unlock different features, according to Disney. The toys will be made available in October through Apple and Disney Stores and various retailers.

Don’t kid yourself, you know you’re headed over there now, and we don’t blame you in the slightest.

Huzzah!  And here you thought your morning couldn’t get any better!  Here’s some great news for all you Google+ iOS users today as the app has finally been updated to host features that were sorely missed in the original app version.

Since the iOS app’s launch, we’ve been living without the all too important reshare feature on top of the option to delete huddles, and this has finally been fixed.  Hip hip hooray.  Hip hip hooray.  Oh wait, I turned Droid a while back, why do I care?!

The latest version of iOS Google+ will bring you up to date to version 1.0.3.2124 and will include notification time, tweaked circle-creation and of course, fix the usual everyday buggery.  Go on, update away!

The currently free TalkO’Clock app for iOS and Android is being described as a peer-to-peer social alarm clock where your number is never released to actual individuals, but stored on TalkO’Clock’s servers.

Here’s how it works.  You say when you need to wake up and if there is an actual person, a stranger, available to call you, they will and if not, an automated program will be doing the waking up.

Right now we’re not sure how exactly they are planning to make moola as the app is free and there are no ads, but that’s for them to worry about, right?  Here’s to waking up with strangers.  Maybe they’ll even have candy!

Get out your Android handsets and get ready to download.  For the next 21 hours or so, the highly rated SwiftKey X virtual keyboard app is free of charge, though tomorrow you will again have to dish out $4 for the bugger.

Probably the best virtual keyboard for Android, Amazon is offering the app gratis is your mobile features Android 2.1 or higher and you type one of the 17 supported languages.

Last year the iPhone welcomed into the fold the free VoIP app Viber which allows you to make free calls that will not take away your minutes using 3G or WiFi.  Now the app has finally made it to Android and we couldn’t possibly be any happier.  We’re catching up, you iPhone users!

Usable over 3G or WiFi, with built-in SMS, it requires no registration, using your existing phone number and contact list. Our only quibble? A disheartening lack of Android support. But our spirits are lifted today, with the app making its way to the everyone’s favorite olive-green market. It has all the compelling features of the iOS version, plus a few extras we saw in the limited beta, like pop-up text message notification, in-app call logs, and the option to use Viber as your default dialer. The company must be doing something right, as it claims 12 million active users just seven months after launch.

Swiss developer Flickbooks LLC has just relaunched their funky fun time flipbook app, appropriately called Flickbooks.  Now available with new editing features on top of a much better streamlined process of creating videos, the app will turns your video into a high-quality flipbook in no time.

Flickbooks, for those not in the know, is an app that will record from five seconds to 15 seconds worth of video on your trusty iPhone which can then be edited and printed out on a professional paper flip book and delivered right to your door.

The new Flickbooks app makes it easier to submit Flickbooks, which can be done over 3G or WiFi. It is compatible with both the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, and is available for free on the Apple App Store. The news has rung out loud and clear that while of course Android and iPhone handsets have the better of the Facebook apps, there will not be a handset out there who cannot download Zuckerberg’s baby.  The new everyman app has been designed so that it can run as seamlessly as possible on all phones that run and allow apps.

Facebook for Every Phone may not be as shiny as smartphone apps but you can check your news feed, access your photos and check that inbox of yours.  Not too shabby, Facebook.  Bet they’re having a grand ole celebration at headquarters.
