The player does feature audio decoding for Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD High Resolution, along with Master Audio bitstream support.

It will be hitting shelves this Nov.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, you read that title correctly. Panasonic has released a new DVR that also incorporates a Blu-Ray burner, and a VHS tape deck.

Why?

You’ve got me. I guess maybe its so you can take old family videos recorded on VHS and transport them to the 1080p powered Blu-Ray disks. This thing also has as digital and analog TV tuner, MPEG-4 AVC H.264 encoder chips, analog and HDMI connections and a 320GB hard drive. A USB port and SD card slot also make their way onto the device for only $1,456.

I just can’t understand this thing. It’s like the future and the past had a baby.
