Love skiing but you’re a friendless hermit? Well now you don’t have to stay at home any longer with the help of the luxurious Skier-Controlled Luxury Tug Boat.

This skiing gadget is completely unmanned and features a highly-complex control panel that will calibrate your skiing experience to every detail, and the panel is located handily on the tow top handle, allowing users to send signals to the boat with the touch of your thumb.

The tug boat measures almost 8-feet in length and sports a three-cylinder, two-stroke 70 horsepower engine with jet pump and flow propulsion that can go up to 40mph.

Cost, a whopping $17,000.

You know, just the other day I was lamenting the fact that I don’t have an amphibious watercraft. There’s a lot of canoeing in my part of the world, but you always have those tiresome portages. I was thinking it would be so much easier if you could just drive along the trails between the lakes.

Luckily, New Zealand-based Sealegs has just come out with a cool new product. Their 5.6m amphibious D-Tube features a marine grade aluminium hull with aluminium D-Tube shaped pontoons. An inboard air-cooled 16hp Honda engine powers the hydraulic wheel motors allowing the D-Tube to drive on land at up 10kmh and a 90hp Yamaha 2-stroke outboard engine provides 60kmh of mobility across the wet parts. From the review at gizmag.com…

With its walk-around centre console and eight rod holders as standard, the Sealegs D-Tube is an excellent fishing platform. It also features a self draining deck with scuppers and foam filled pontoons. The D-Tube pontoons mean that the boat is very stable at rest with ample room forward and aft for fishing.

All yours for just $79,000 AUD including GST. More details from the Sealegs web site here.

With the kind of summer we’re having here in south central Canada, I so wish I had one of these. Then again, I also wish I had a pool that I could put one in.

Canada’s Custom Design, Inc came up with this unique product, though I suspect the idea behind it was hatched in a more southern location. The Aquapub Floating Pool Bar is just that, a bar that floats in your pool. It has a 7 foot diameter and weighs just 85 lbs so it can be moved around easily. The unit is amphibious and can also be used as a comfortable patio set. A built-in cooler will keep all of your liquid goodies nice and cold.

Unfortunately, the beer and bikini-clad babes are not included. Check out the web site for more details.
