Of course, the 623.76 mile run took around 22 hours, but this is a real start in the fierce electric car competitive field.  Just think, you could probably watch an entire 24 season and still have time to spare.  Shesh, 22 hours.

Come April 19th, the fast and furious car will be up for auction as part of Bonhams Collectors’ Motor Car event.  Bids for the Ferrari are expected to be around $45,000 and up.  While this car isn’t actually an original Ferrari but replica created by John Hughes and Paramount Pictures, this baby still runs but we guess you might not want to risk it.

With no robotic equipment in sight, Takeoka Jidosha Kogei makes their small green cars with about a dozen mechanics crafting each car by hand, right up to adding the headlights.

The wee little cars run around $9,600 and runs on a lithium-ion battery, which can be charged a conventional wall socket when not in use.

We can’t help but love that a small family-run business is taking green cars to a whole new level.
