Summertime is a word that can already be used at this time, because the sunny days will continue to pop up continuously, at least here in Portugal.

Anyhow, if you really want to wear a necktie during the summer and at the same time need some fresh air, this special tie can help you out. How?

Simple – it comes with a hidden & small fan that can be powered by a normal battery, or by a USB cable.

In the end this means you can work on the computer without sweating… or does it?

The USB Necktie costs $44.

- Necktie size 480 X 95 x 24mm
- Cable 135cm

Bubble wrap can be regulary seen inside the package of new gadgets, its main function is to provide cushioning for precious, breakable and fragile items which can be done thanks to the air bubbles that are created. Some people like to play with it, you know… popping the plastic bubbles and listening to the noise it makes is always a pleasing experience.

Anyway, to defeat the main feature of a bubble wrap there is a bikini made of the same material which is called the Buuble Wrap Bikini. I consider this a serious geek gift for Valentine’s day that you can give to a special female friend, maybe offering this item on Mother’s Day gift is not a good idea…

It costs $20.

the CES 2007 booth babes and the way they are used to advertise products they know nothing about

Well, to prove my theory that the girls seriously know nothing about what they are promoting, I would like you to watch and listen to this funny video, the first girl speaking invented a new interface called UBS instead of USB:

It looks like the girls on the video are part of <strike>the blond stereotype</strike> GirlsGoneWild (link not safe for work) and they also have a MySpace account (link here – not safe for work either, but nice photos).

But once again the best stays for last, the AirPort Express is also a great cup holder and coffee/tea warmer. If you ever decide to buy one just imagine how much money you will save, it is like a 6-in-1 gadget or maybe more because I didn’t indicate all the AirPort technical features.

These are just some of the Google Bombs that have happened on the past, but it is still fun to watch how the al might google search engine can be tricked.

If you don’t know what is a google bomb, check out the wikipedia article with more info. The basic idea is that the anchor text of a link must have the desired bomb name.

On the Google Blogoscoped website you can find more examples of past google bombings. There used to be another cool combs, such as:

Buffone (means clow in italian) pointing to the Italian prime minister website

jew had a hate-site as the first result, so google took care of that by pointing to the wikipedia jew entry

Prelude:
A Fortune magazine editor traveled to Japan on a company junket, had a bunch of fun and then realized he needed to deliver a trip report to his superiors.

The ‘gadgets from the future’ report was quickly developed on the flight home from the Sky Mall catalog and includes this years technologies of:

an ultra-portable Sony VAIO UX90P

ZPN/Kenwood MIURO iPod dock

Mikimoto Beans iTheatre personal iPod theater

Sharp Vodafone 905SH mobile phone with 2.6″ screen for watching videos

Nintendo Wii controller

Hitachi WOOO Blu-ray digital camcorder

and a new range of motivational posters

Luckily, his bosses had been too busy playing golf on the company dollar to notice that everything had already been announced or realized, they also found the motivational posters very enlightening and bought several for their employees break-rooms

This post is suppose to be a joke about the CNN article titled Next year’s coolest gadgets. If you take a look at the real introduction, it says:

On a recent prowl through Tokyo’s electronic alleyways, our tech guru was drawn to six stylish products. None is available in the U.S., but that may just be a matter of time.

The only problem is that all the “next year’s gadgets” have already been presented months ago, some are available to purchase like the iTheater Video Glasses, others will be available on the upcoming weeks like the Nintendo Wii.

<strike>And this concludes our mocking for the worst CNN article ever.</strike>
Interesting to say the least…

[Via: /.]

PS – the first part of this post is a quote from a comment on the slashdot article.

The bombs were strong enough to cause minimal damage (broken windows), the Fire Department captain comments:

The Sony W900i Flyer can’t be considered a gadget per se, but since it is related to a cellphone is suits the Gadgetizer pretty well.

I’m sure everyone will say that the concept of the flyer is creative, not only because of the shapes (boobs!) that it creates but also because there is actually a concept/idea behind it – the Sony W900i is part of the Walkman series and that is why the lines go all the way from the cellphone the ears, just like earphones do.

The lady on the background must be someone famous that I don’t know, but that is not that important, or is it?

By the way, this is a south american flyer that I found at designboom.

The videos have been all over the net and the experiment was even featured on the hit TV show, Mythbusters.

The video below takes this fizzy experiment to a whole new level. It shows what happens when you combine 251 bottles of Coke, over 1500 Mentos and two goggled geeks with waaaay too much time on their hands. Pretty impressive choreography and well worth the watch.
