The recently presented camcorder is part of the Everio S Series made by JVC, and thanks to the use of a memory card instead of a hard-drive, the final product is small and light – 270 grams.

To make it YouTubish there is a YouTube sticker placed on the camera, and an upload button that sends the video directly to the internet, that is, after being connected to a PC.

On the technical section, the GZ-MS100 features a 2.7-inch LCD non-touchscreen, Auto Backlight Control, USB connection, 35x optical zoom, and lastly, a few different shooting modes, such as sports and night.

For the people that like to go underwater to take photos, there is a new digital camera from SeaLife. It is named ECOshot, and besides being waterproof (at least up to 23 meters) it also has the shock-proof characteristics, with a limit of 2 meters.

The ECOshot only needs 2 AA batteries in order to work, which is good, but on the other hand the internal memory only has 14MB of capacity. In case you want to increase the memory, which I bet you do, the limit is 1GB while using a SD card.

The actual shooting component uses a six-megapixel CCD sensor, and supports SeaLife’s custom flash systems for better underwater lighting.

It costs $230, check more details (6.0MP sensor, 2-inch LCD display, etc) at SeaLife.

There are some useful things you can do while having the internet feature on the camera, that includes sending instant emails of important photos or just uploading them to your Flickr account.

The VLUU i70 has more uncommon features on a digital camera, like media playback (sound – MP3, video – MPEG4) and being able to receive SMS messages. On the normal specifications of a camera there is a 7.2megapixel sensor, 3X optical zoom and an ISO sensitivity of 1600.

Here’s a few snips from the Akihabara report:

The HD1 has roughly the same dimensions as the C6, but the lense is a bit bigger (f=6.3-63mm, which gives in 35mm 38-380mm), the flash light is stuck to the top and it has a 5.1MP resolution. It supports SD cards up to 2GB.

When it comes to HD, this Xacti records in 720p with a resolution of 1280×720 and at 30fps and 9mbps. To give you an idea what you can record on a 2GB SD, in the best setting (HD-SHQ) you can record 28 minutes and 45 seconds, so on a 256MB card you can record 3 minutes and 36 seconds of footage.

The device measures 80×119x36mm and weighs 235g fully loaded (Sd and battery).

And guess what, the dudes have live video samples shot with the Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1 on their site, and they’re amazing quality for a camera so tiny. Anyway, if you want to pich up a couple, the Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1 should be available in February for about 900 Euros ($1,085 USD). (No word on NA availability yet)
