We were all impressed when Nikon broke new ground last year by integrating projector capability into a digital camera and now it appears that it’s already time for an update.

Say hello to Nikon’s next generation projection camera, the Coolpix S1200pj that not only brings with it the projection integration but also a brighter 20-lumens pico projector that works with your iOS-powered devices such as your iPad, iPhone and iPod.

The camera is able to shoot 14.1-megapixel when you aren’t using it to watch a movie, while zooming in up to 5x from afar in addition to recording High Definition videos at 720p – no Full HD support here though.

Needless to say, if you are going to use the projector function most of the time, the battery is not going to last very long at all, so make sure you know what you are going to use it for. The Nikon Coolpix S1200pj will retail for $430 when it arrives sometime next month.

Ahh, you just have to love a good photo leak this time of year cause it means not waiting as long to find out what’s what on the latest gadgets and this principle certainly applies to the new Olympus PEN Mini. Isn’t she hot?!

Part of their PEN series which focuses on bridging the gap between compact point-n-shoot and DSLR cameras, the Olympus PEN Mini has about everything you’ve been looking for in one camera.

Dubbed the E-PM1, this new cam is reportedly about the same size as the XZ-1, though larger in width due to a new touchscreen display, imaging engine and sensor with much improved circuitry that will deliver better battery life, which was much needed.

The word on the street is that on June 30, all will be revealed on the Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1, and we’re especially looking forward to pricing details.
