We have news, good news.  If you’re growing sick of the semi-crappy YouTube user interface hasn’t really kept up with the Joneses, then we have quite the surprising unveiling for you.

On top of the new UI, the new YouTube update will of course be concentrating on Google+, which is no real surprise since we all know how much the company has been trying to bolster interest into their social network.

Other changes include:

• Deeper Google+ integration shows off YouTube content your Circles have shared to Google+, letting you surf user-recommended videos from people you might actually care about.
• New left-column dashboard sorts your Subscriptions and more into easily-clickable sections, including featured videos and recommended content categories.
• Homepage content will be displayed in a single column, putting a focus on larger preview images for videos.
• A slight color scheme tweak (new gray background) highlights content.
• The “fullscreen” button in actual YouTube videos will receive a more user-friendly update, giving viewers the option to shrink, expand or, yes, fullscreen the video.
• Recommended video content pops out when clicked, allowing you to easily exit to where you last were before clicking after viewing.
• Clicking the YouTube logo on the top left of the site will lead to http://www.youtube.com/guide.
• YouTube’s favicon will also be switched out for an updated version.
• Google will soon be launching a new YouTube UI that reportedly will knock your socks off and send them right over to Google+.  Even currently some small changes are being interspersed into the site, though gradually.

What’s in yer Google Wallet?  Well, Visa is for one, along with Mastercard.  What good bedfellows they make.

Over the weekend it was reported that Mastercard would be along for the Google Wallet ride, with Visa, Discover and American Express being added in the near future and apparently the near future is now as Visa has just announced that they too are on the Google Wallet bandwagon.  Three cheers for Google.

For all you Visa card holders, this means that you will be able to take advantage of the new NFC payment system with the licensing agreement allowing users to link their their credit, debit and prepaid cards to Google Wallet which will turn out, eventually anyway, to ease your pain at the local checkout counter.  Though if you’re in a rural area, the pain may still be present.

Huzzah!  And here you thought your morning couldn’t get any better!  Here’s some great news for all you Google+ iOS users today as the app has finally been updated to host features that were sorely missed in the original app version.

Since the iOS app’s launch, we’ve been living without the all too important reshare feature on top of the option to delete huddles, and this has finally been fixed.  Hip hip hooray.  Hip hip hooray.  Oh wait, I turned Droid a while back, why do I care?!

The latest version of iOS Google+ will bring you up to date to version 1.0.3.2124 and will include notification time, tweaked circle-creation and of course, fix the usual everyday buggery.  Go on, update away!

Ahh Google, how can we live without you these days?  You’ve truly spoiled us with all your handy dandy gadgetry and live traffic mapping is certainly no exception.

Beginning this week, Google Maps will now feature live traffic maps for 13 European countries.  Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland will now be taking advantage of Google’s informative live traffic feature and with not a minute to spare.

Coverage, of course, includes all highways, freeways and larger roads in major cities which isn’t such a bad start. And on top of all that good news, Google will be offering the UK better street level coverage.  A great news run all around!

Gone are the days when you could only be signed-in to one Gmail account and gone too are the days when you could only be signed into three email accounts at once, now it’s on to a whopping 10 email accounts!

Google has just updated their aweosmepants services to now allow Gmail users to be signed into up to 10 accounts at once without having to log out.

While you may be asking yourself why would anyone need that many accounts, this is folly, it’s all about what you can do, not what you can’t do anymore.  Thanks, Google, I can now take over the inboxes of all my friends on top of shill bidding on my eBay auctions…

With rumors circulating of a cloud-based music service for many moons, the day is finally upon us that Google will unveil their long-awaited service with free storage of up to 20,000 songs.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Google will unveil the new service this afternoon at a San Francisco press conference.
According to the report, Google hasn’t obtained licenses from the four major record companies. This little detail has gotten Amazon into hot water with its Cloud Drive product. But Google’s version is said to allow users to upload their music to the cloud, but only stream it back on other devices, without the ability to download it, in what appears to be an attempt to limit piracy.

Of course this new additional Google service will first begin in beta form with only a few lucky to be invited in to check her out at first.

While many Google users have been noticing website previews for a couple of months now, the “Instant Previews” feature was officially announced Tuesday.

This new Googly feature will help users bypass sites that aren’t exactly what they are looking for.  The feature works for Google Web searches of course, as well as news, video and local businesses searches.

After clicking on an icon of a magnifying glass, people will see a picture of the website in the white space to the right of the search results within a tenth of a second. Although the preview photo will vary in size, just as Google Inc.’s image results do, Google designed the previews so that they’ll never eclipse the search results and clutter the page.

Google will also show a box above the picture zooming in on the section of the website where the search terms appear. The search terms will be highlighted in that box.

With Samsung thinking about getting Android on board for their TV sets, Google has announced that their new TV service should be available this fall, in beta of course.

Finally, Maps on your plasma! Unfortunately Samsung’s plans are far less certain, with company President Yoon Boo Keun offering little more than a “[w]e will have to see, but we are reviewing,” when asked whether the OS will make a suitable platform for couch potatoes the world o’er. According to Yoon, about half of the company’s 3-D TVs rock web browsers, a figure that will only increase over the next couple years. We only hope that if they do go with Android, the implementation is better than that of some of their handsets.

Linux users have been waiting nearly two years for Google’s Gmail Voice and Video Chat and it’s finally, drum roll please, HERE!

Yes, that’s right, there is more, much more, to celebrate this Friday morning.  Linux users can finally sink their teeth into the ong-awaited voice and video chat for Gmail.  The only downside we are seeing at the moment, on top of the two-year waiting period of course, is that there doesn’t seem to be any RPM support as of yet.  But here’s to hoping that this is well on its way and not a couple years down the road.

There’s not many of us who realize how many times snoopypants Google collects personal browsing data when you’re visiting a website, but those days are long gone with the new Google Alarm.

Firefox is offering a new Google Alarm Firefox add-on that will pretty much scream every time your personal information makes its way to Googleland servers.
