Epson has finally created an all-in-one with built-in wireless N capability for under $100.  The Epson NX420 all-in-one printer comes in at right under 100 bucks at $99.99.  Features include a scanner which can scan anything up to 2400dpi, a slick 1.5-inch LCD display and the ability to get print jobs done in color at 3ppm and black at 6ppm.  Wow, that’s worth $100 right there.

That’s why we’re showing off the new PrePeat Eco-Friendly Printer which dos not rely on paper or ink at all, instead using heat-sensitive plastic sheets which prints out gray scale text and images.

Due to the supremely high cost of the PrePeat, we know it will be some time before this reaches all markets and office spaces.

Check out this new printer concept that would allow you to keep using your pencil stubs by feeding them in to this machine.  How it works is you insert your old stubs and the printer converts the lead in the pencil into ink that can be used for your documents.  There’s also a handy dandy eraser included, just in case you misspell mispell.

With an 5760×1440 dpi resolution and a 7-inch LCD display, this handy dandy printer does all you need for postcard printing and them some, and guess what, it’s both Mac and PC compatible.  Now you’re excited!

The Selphy ES40 features a 3.5″ LCD display with scroll wheel so you can easily navigate around the menus.  For just $150, this is the perfect photo printer for family photo printing and clip art customization.

The new PCP-300 and PCP-1300 feature a 7″ touchscreen display, several memory card slots, QWERTY keyboard and the ability to see your real-time changes on the display.  The only sad thing about this news is that there’s no word on pricing as of yet.

This new kid on the block by Epson is designed with the digital photographer in mind and while it’s not a bad purchase for an office, it’s better left to the single creative types out there.

Featuring a 2.5″ LCD display that connects directly to your camera, copying and scanning capability at a 1,200DPI resolution as well as utilizing Claria Photographic Ink that is supposed to last up to 200 years, this is the perfect buy for the photographer in your family.  Cost is around $215 and will debut in the US this September.

Since it has the portable factor, the printer must be small and light, right? One of the best features is related to the connectivity modes which includes Bluetooth, meaning that you only need to press a few buttons on your cellphone, laptop, or PMP, in order to print a page.

With a speed of 3ppp (pages per minute) the PrintStik can be considered rather slow, but on the other hand, there aren’t many portable printers capable of using a 200DPI setting for good results.

It takes 2 hours to make a full recharge, and after that you can print 40 pages.

The PrintStik costs approximately $300.

The digital printer has two uncommon features:

- ZINK technology, which means there is no ink involved in the printing process
- bluetooth and USB as the easy way to connect other devices and print stuff

The best use for the bluetooth (wireless) connection is to use it with a cellphone. After pressing a couple of buttons, and waiting approximately 60 seconds, the printing should be done on a 2” x 3” paper. Sadly, there is no information about the price or release date.

PIXMA MX850 is the name of the new AIO – all-in-one – printer presented by Canon, with a price tag of $280. The AIO code could actually be changed to 34-in-1, because the MX850 offers 4 functions: fax, print, copy, and scan. In addition, it has an Ethernet port for connectivity.

At the same time a document is being scanned, it can also be copied – making the process of digitalizing content much easier. As for the menu, it is displayed on a 2.5-inch TFT screen, and the maximum resolution possible to print pages is 9600 x 2400 (color) dpi.

The device features an automatic document feeder (ADF) which can copy or scan both sides of a document automatically.
