But the latest addition is a 2-in-1 combination, more exactly a MP3 Player with FM transmitter. Sure, it doesn’t look like much, but taking in consideration the huge fan base of the Disney cartoon character, it must be a good item.

In addition to transmitting music to your car stereo thanks to the FM transmitter, which comes with a cigarette lighter adapter, you can use it with other audio devices like the home stereo system.

It comes with 1 GB of built-in memory, and a remote control.

The Mickey MP3 Player with FM Car Transmitter costs $24 and is available in red or blue.

The in-car CD tuner has a USB port so you can just plug-in your flash drive and start listening to your favorite tunes. If you don’t have a flash drive nearby, bluetooth is also an option to be used with cellphones, or other media players that support bluetooth.

In case you want to take extreme measures, pick a gadget that is compatible with Bluetooth AVRCP, so you can press play, pause (and other buttons) straight on the car stereo. Along with the new feature to search MP3s called Quick-BrowZer, comes an AUX input for headphones.

If you are into the new trend of car radios that don’t use CDs, maybe the Parrot RK8200 will please you, in many ways…

The upcoming (in March) car radio has a simple face, with a numeric keypad on the left, volume and playback controls on the middle, and a small screen on the left. The audio can be delivered via USB, SD memory card, analog inputs, and lastly, by iPod – while using a special connector. Thanks to these 4 kinds of audio sources, we doesn’t need the CDs.

Obviously, the RK8200 radio comes with bluetooth that works with your cellphone, and on the display it can show the caller ID, phonebook, and more information related to the music.

- Number of contacts: total of 8000
- Voice recognition
- Text-to-Speech (TTS) voice synthesis of the names in the phonebook

In case you want an extra accessory to listen to radio on your iPod, there are plenty of normal options on the market, but if you want a particular alternative, the Robi is what you need, because it is capable of transmitting digital and analog radio content.

Priced at £50 ($103) and made by Roberts, the small radio receiver works with the iPod’s battery, so you don’t need to worry about recharging it. With a display screen and buttons located on the front, it provides easy usability, and besides being able to transmit radio, the Robi can also work as a remote control so you can change the volume and other options, like rewind, pause, next track, etc.

Robi is compatible with second-generation iPod nanos and fifth-generation iPods and according to the maker is “the world’s smallest DAB/FM radio receiver accessory”.

This leaves space for other companies (and Apple itself) to create extra gadgets to add that function, like the Robi.

Made by Roberts from the UK, the Robi is able to offer DAB and FM radio in a small sized device. It has controls to adjust the volume, the radio frequency, and the music playback. Among other details, the tiny screen shows information about the radio you’re currently listening.

The robi costs £50, approximately $103 and works with the iPod and iPod nano.

I need to admit an addiction to good looking radios, and the Crosley Vintage is one of them. It is not the first time we talk about this old-school radio company, remember the Explorer 1 XM Receiver?

Anyway, the retro design of this radio is notable, it even has the trippy controls and small radio frequency display on the front. There is a mix of technology in this device, because the outside looks old, but the inside is high-tech with an electronically assisted tuner and a dynamic full-range speaker.

Obviously it features AM and FM functions, and to get a better signal reception there is an external antenna.
