The folks at LaptopMag have reviewed the latest Samsung BlackJack II of AT&T, and the conclusion is that the smart phone can be a good option for fist-time buyers, but not for the people that want to upgrade from the basic BlackJack version.

The praises of the smart phone go for the good design, the useful spinning jog wheel that makes scrolling simple and easier, the retooled keyboard, and also its quickness while running various programs simultaneously.

On the other hand, some of the bad points of the BlackJack II review are related to the way to adjust the volume, the location of the power button, and the final quality of the photos that can be considered rather low – it becomes a disaster if there is any kind of movement while shooting a photo.

Samsung throws in an RSS reader, so you can catch up on the latest headlines without surfing to multiple sites. It took a mere 38 seconds to update eight feeds, including BBC News, CBS Financial, NYT: Home Page, and Yahoo U.S. News, all of which include images.

Fujitsu Lifebook T1010 was recently reviewed at PCMag and the verdict was good, 4 stars out of 5. The tablet PC has a price tag of $2,300 and some impressive specifications besides the negative detail provided by the review – a low-powered processor, which is actually an Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 running at 1.2Ghz.

On the other hand, the positive points are pretty good, including a “brilliant” LED screen that measures 12.1-inches, an impressive battery life that works one full day, and praises also go for being travel friendly – read small and light.

The Lifebook T1010 comes with a 120GB hard-drive, on the RAM department there are 2GB, and the graphics card is powered by an Intel GMA X3100.

Read the full Fujitsu Lifebook T2010 review at Pcmag.

The T2010 lightens the burden to 3.9 pounds by getting rid of the optical drive. In a way, it’s a lot like the Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet, focusing its attention on battery life and a great tablet-on-forearm experience.

The Samsung YP-K5 (mp3 player) has been viewed and reviewed at E-USB, while the final result is good due to one important feature, in general the player lacks some basic stuff and taking in consideration the specifications + price there are other better alternatives in the market.

The important feature that I previously mentioned are the external speakers, there are two of them with each one measuring 1-inch and providing 1-watt of sound power. While this is rare to see in most devices of the same kind, I expect people to actually enjoy it. On the other hand there is a negative point about the speakers that Scott Clark points out:

For what it’s worth, if the speakers could somehow be removed from the main unit, the player itself would only be about 2mm thicker than the second generation iPod nano. Seeing as how that’s not the case however, the actual dimensions of the unit are 3.86″ x 1.87″ x .71″ with a weight of 3.7 ounces.

Praises go for the sound quality, battery life, being able to work as an alarm clock and more stuff. While among the bad points of the Samsung player there is the size (bulky), not being able to turn off the fade-in effect (how screwed up is that?) and poor readability in sunlight.

Read the full Samsung YP-K5 review with more photos and plenty of good information.

One of the things that Creative does well is designing good webcams, mouses, keyboards and other accessories. The Creative Live! Cam Voice is a good example of that characteristic, but what makes this product stand out from the rest on the same category is the integration of a microphone with the webcam which is an uncommon thing to see. TrustedReviews was able to test drive the webcam and the verdict is not pretty good, they had some problems related to the software and bugs, but besides that point, it serves for its purpose and still marks positive points with the Live! Audio feature – speak without a headset but with background noise. Hmmm, I guess this is not a good thing after all.

The folks at AnythingButiPod have reviewed the Vaja Leather Case (codename
Surya) made for the Creative Zen Vision:M player and the result is satisfactory.

This case can be customized in many ways, there 33 different colors you can pick to be used on the top/bottom of the case and there also 3 options to make the clip system one of a kind.

One of the negative points about this case is not being able to charge (or sync) the MP3 player while wearing the case. Other then that, it is made of good material which makes it look pretty good and the customization level is huge when comparing to other cases, the $70 are well worth it.

Visit the VajaChoice website and below Products, click MP3 -> Creative -> Zen Vision:M -> Survya; to customize your case.

The latest analytical review done by Gadgeteer concerns the iMono, a useful product that chips in a multiple card reader and an USB flash memory drive in one small device.

After taking a look at the device, I can say it’s a well accomplished mix but it lacks on the 512MB of flash memory department, why so little storage capacity? On the other hand, it can manage all these type of cards: SD/MMC/miniSD/MMC micro/T-Flash and more…

Being able to transfer data from one kind of card to another with a simple solution, whats not to like about it?

Check the iMONO SD/miniSD Card Reader + 512MB Flash Drive review, at The Gadgeteer. If you’re amused by it and decide you want one, USBGeek has it for $32.
