Wow, talk about one of the coolest reveals ever. First off, the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet shipped ahead of schedule then we heard about apps being sideloaded and root treated and now we have even bigger news regarding this pretty stellar tablet.

Amazon has just released the source code for the Kindle Fire making this the best Kindle release ever. This move puts Amazon high in our books if you ponder how many OEMs that have yet to release source codes for their Android devices. Maybe Amazon is trying to tell us something?

While the release of the tablet’s source code won’t mean much to regular folks, this means that developers can start working on custom ROMs for the tablet. Folks who aren’t happy with the Kindle Fire tablet UI will be able to replace it in the future. I wouldn’t be surprised if CyanogenMod pays the Kindle Fire a visit too. It sure looks like Amazon is taking the steps to get their debut tablet right by pleasing both regular consumers and the developer community.

If you pre-ordered your Fire then you more than likely already have the tablet in your greedy little hands, so tell us, is it all that it’s cracked up to be? Are you in love?

Man, apparently November is the month for user interface facelifts. With YouTube slowly debuting their new UI, and now Netflix showing off their latest Android Tablet UI, who knows what may be next. Well, I guess we do. iPad users can expect a new Netflix interface coming up pronto.

Netflix has been a busy beaver making this new official redesigned user interface just for you beloved Android tablet lovers. According to the company the updates “makes browsing and instantly watching unlimited TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix better than ever.”

The new look provides multiple rows of titles with larger artwork to scroll through, with Neil Hunt, chief product officer at Netflix, noting that the company has seen a “threefold increase in how long Netflix members are watching on their tablets.” As of today, interested consumers can simply update their Netflix app in the Android Market, while iPad users are being asked to wait “a few weeks,” after which the new tablet experience will be dubbed Tabster and led on Twitter by a 17-year old methamphetamine addict.

If only it was Tuesday, we could call this Tablet Tuesday since we’re seemingly concentrating on tablets this morning, but hey, we can still call it Tablet Monday, it just lacks that je ne se qua.

Heading back to the rumor locker, Barnes & Noble may have something new up their sleeve, a new and more expensive version of the Nook Color. Expected to be released before be say goodbye to 2011, this new Nook Color would retail in the neighborhood of $350 and would reportedly be known as the Acclaim.

Of course, the rumormill is just pumping out this latest tidbit, so there’s no word as of yet on any Acclaim details, if that will even be the name bestowed this newer and better Nook Color.

It does make some sense that a new Color would hit the market soon as the launch of this successful tablet series was a little more than a year ago.

Come September 28th Amazon will be showing all their cards with the release of their new Amazon Tablet. This Wednesday will mark Amazon’s either valid or ill-placed confidence about their chances to break through the tablet market.

Amazon’s tablet will of course be at a much more competitive price than that of Apple’s iPad, but we’re wondering how quality this tablet is going to be versus price point.

The word on the street is that the tablet will feature a 7″ display, along with the ability to hook the user up to Amazon’s various other properties such as the Kindle services and App Store. Sadly, we’re guessing no UK tablet announcement since as of yet the UK lacks access to the App Store.

It’s going to be a busy couple of weeks ahead for gadgets what with the Amazon tablet this week and Apple’s big announcement the next. So, strap it on, it’s gonna be a wild ride.

We’re not sure if you’ve been waiting for the tablet-optimized version of Firefox for your beloved Android tablet or not, but either way we have some news in that regards this morning.

Check it out. Firefox for Android tablets has just entered what we lovingly call the nightly builds stage which means that there’s enough functionality for the public to play around and test the browser before the final release.

Now, don’t go expecting perfection, we’re far from it, but you can feel like you’re one of the team by putting up with bugs, crashes and the usual freezing. If you’re game, head on over to Nightly Mozilla webpage and get your hands on the download.

At last! Now you don’t have to leave the water in order to surf the waves and the web at once with the upcoming Fujitsu 10.1″ Waterproof Tablet.

Okay, we have to come clean that as of right now there is no actual word on how much water this baby can stave off, the mere fact that Fujitsu is calling it waterproof we feel is a great indication of watery wonder. Here’s hoping it’s not a few drops, but at least 10 feet!

According to literature being circulated in Japan, the company will soon be launching a 10.1” waterproof tablet dubbed the Arrows Tab.

The specs of the upcoming tablet reveal it to feature a 10.1″ screen with a resolution of 1280×800, running Android’s Honeycomb 3.1. The Arrows Tab will also reportedly feature a 1GHz dual-core TI-OMAP processor, 16GB of internal storage, 5MP rear-facing camera on top of a 1.3MP front-facing camera and 1-seg TV tuner.

Again, no word on how much water this tablet can withstand but we should know much much more when it launches on Japan’s NTT DoCoMo network in September.

Well folks, looks like you’re going to have to amend the holiday list this year as Santa will be delivering no iPad 3’s this season.

According to several reliable sources Apple has had to cancel their iPad 3 supply schedule for the latter half of 2011 which of course has had the added negative of encouraging other same-level products to draw back their own supplies in order to compete with Apple’s one-day-soon launch.

If it pleases you any, the supply for iPad 2’s will be kept at a level of 28-30 million units, so you can at least give Santa that news…

Apple was originally set to launch its iPad 3 in the second half of 2011 with a supply volume of 1.5-2 million units in the third quarter and 5-6 million in the fourth quarter, but Apple’s supply chain partners have recently discovered that the related figures have all already been deleted, the sources pointed out.

Sources from panel players also pointed out that the 9.7-inch panel with high resolution requires a much larger backlight source and a single edge light bar is hardly able to reach satisfaction levels. Due to iPad 3’s requirements over the physical thinness, rich color support and toughness will all conflict with the panel’s technology restrictions; therefore, this could cause a delay in the launch.

You know Steve hated hearing that news. Sheesh. Hopefully the messenger came out okay.

If you’ve been watching with bated breath for the HP TouchPad 4G, then we have some promising news for you this morning. Amazon is now showing the 4G tablet as a pre-order with a $700 purchase, though we’re sure that price won’t last too long.

Interested in purchasing the new HP TouchPad tablet that features a faster internet connection than the one available now? Great news, because it looks like the HP TouchPad 4G could be almost upon us. The webOS 3 tablet headed for AT&T’s HSPA+ network was recently spotted as being available for pre-order on Amazon’s website. And like most 4G devices, the tablet isn’t going to come cheap.

I wonder how long the prices for the tablet will stay, after all HP should know that it will be hard to compete in the tablet market with such a high price tag, running a relatively unknown operating system (webOS) that most people probably haven’t heard of. But it does have 4G connectivity (HSPA+ is 3.5G to be more accurate), which puts it a step above most of the other tablets.

The only question we have is if this baby is fast enough for the price tag. What are your thoughts?

Well, lookey here. It seems as if Sprint has another tablet up their sleeve thanks to this recently leaked roadmap that we have.

The only bad news in sight about the upcoming Sprint ZTE V55 Tablet is the waiting until the first quarter of 2012 to see it part.

The folks over at Engadget spotted a ZTE tablet earlier this year at the CTIA and it’s been speculated to be the ZTE V55 since it was an unnamed device then. The tablet is said to have a 10.1″ 1280 x 800 display, a 1.2GHz processor, Android Honeycomb, front and rear cameras and a 6800mAh battery. But devices shown at CTIA are supposed to be released in the second half of this year, which is earlier than the date on the leaked roadmap, and the device that was spotted at CTIA was said to be LTE-compatible, something that Sprint is not.

There is no other news fit to print on the newbie, so we’ll just have to wait and see closer to 2012 on more deets.
