Snoring is embarrassing no matter who’s is the culprit. It’s something you basically have no control over and if you’re the bedmate of a snorer it can get pretty frustrating pretty fast which is why we’re sorta tickled by the new Jusui-Kun Robotic Stuffed Bear.

This robot bear will actually tickle you with his paw if you begin snoring which is amazing if you ask us. Basically, the Jusui-Kun user sleeps on top of the bear like a pillow and when snoring is detected the bear will paw your face in order to nudge you past the snoring episode.

The key is to get the snorer sleeping on the pillow to move his or her head from side to side. Jusui-Kun has a built-in mic to detect the sleeper’s snoring, while an equally cuddly hand monitor detects blood oxygen levels, letting the bear know when to issue one of its loving face swipes.

Of course if it were us, this stuffed bear pawing would be such a pawsitive reinforcement that if we snored, which of course we don’t, how dare you even make such an accusation, that we’d sore even more just to feel that soft, cuddly southpaw.

Following Steve Jobs’ death earlier this month, Apple held a private memorial for the former CEO that was exclusively for Apple employees. All Apple Stores closed down to allow employees to watch the service that featured the likes of Coldplay and Al Gore via web stream. Now that private event is being made available to us.

Not only celebrities and the infamous speak but also upper management figures who knew Jobs well, including the now-CEO Tim Cook who stressed the importance of grieving but also the importance of not worrying about how Jobs would have steered the company next, something Jobs himself warned others about before he succumbed to pancreatic cancer.

81-minutes of the memorial service are now available for the public at large to view and include Norah Jones and Coldplay performances while Apple employees crowd around the Cupertino campus. Be sure you watch the video via Safari, as Jobs would have probably wanted.

Tailgating is an all-American pastime whether it’s out in the parking lot of an arena, at a racetrack or at a family event. The smells of charring burgers, hotdogs and BBQ are sure to bring together a crowd of people for relaxation, beer and family fun.

There are two ways to tailgate: roughneck and rockstar. Roughnecks tailgate with the basic essentials, a 10-year-old charcoal grill, hotdogs, hamburgers, beer in red cups, and plastic woven lawn chairs. The roughnecking tailgater motto is, “Everything’s better with a cold brew and a charcoaled burger.”

Then there’s the rockstar tailgater. The rockstar tailgater has all the amenities: a BBQ grill that slides out of the truck bed, satellite TV and elaborate cloth lawn chairs with drink holders. Rockstars lounge around in style and luxury no matter where they are, and so should you.

Tailgating like a rockstar is easy if you plan ahead. With Direct star TV, you’ll never miss a game even when you’re at the game. Just set the DVR to record, load up the king size grill, grab the cooler, ice, hamburgers, hotdogs, liquor, laptop and barbeque sauce and your ready to tailgate.

Don’t feel like waiting to watch the game or waiting for the DVD to record before you leave for your tailgating expedition? Go ahead and watch it on the go with satellite mobile apps. DirecTV can be played on your iPad. You can grill, entertain, drink and watch the game at the same time. Don’t have an iPad? Don’t worry, there are mobile apps for your phone. Set your DVR no matter where you are, and never miss your favorite shows again. With mobile apps you can tailgate like a rockstar and watch your favorite sports and TV shows all without missing the flip of a burger.

We all hate Evite. It’s annoying difficult to navigate, clumsy with ads and just down right clunky with their whole inviting process and at long last we might have a true disciple to replace this false idol.

Say hello to your new BFF, trueRSVP.com, which promises to increase RSVP accuracy on top of making event planning easier while taking advantage of proprietary algorithms.

No current invite system, to our knowledge, is using an RSVP invite system that can actually predict who will be attending your event, but this new sexy beast is claiming to be the ”first online planning service that is ‘flake-proof,’ providing event planners with the most precise attendance forecast to date.”

So, what’s the trick? trueRSVP.com staff enter your invite’s flaker’s abode and shakes them till they RSVP? No. Sadly. The site works via rewards and not even a badge-based system which we’re sort of all tickled about. If you respond quickly to invites on top of RSVP-ing yes, in the future you will receive benefits such as priority registration to future events.

trueRSVP.com is currently being chatted about at conferences but not yet available. We will letcha know when this badass event planning tool is out and about and ready for abuse.

The US government isn’t the only party on the block who wants to stand in the way of an AT&T and T-Mobile merger as Sprint is now joining in on the fun with a recently filed suit against the marriage.

Sprint today announced that it has filed suit in federal court in the District of Columbia against AT&T, Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile. The filing outlines the carrier’s concern that the proposed deal would harm consumers, corporate customers and carriers (such as, you know, Sprint), while transforming AT&T-Mobile and Verizon into a “duopoly.” Of course, this isn’t the first time the carrier has let the world know that it’s not particularly pumped about the whole proposal.

The full press release deets are below for those wanting to immerse themselves in jargon.

Sprint Files Suit to Block Proposed AT&T and T-Mobile Transaction

WASHINGTON–(EON: Enhanced Online News)–Sprint Nextel [NYSE:S] today brought suit against AT&T, Inc., AT&T Mobility, Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile seeking to block the proposed acquisition as a violation of Section 7 of the Clayton Act. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in the District of Columbia as a related case to the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) suit against the proposed acquisition.

“Sprint opposes AT&T’s proposed takeover of T-Mobile,” said Susan Z. Haller, vice president-Litigation, Sprint. “With today’s legal action, we are continuing that advocacy on behalf of consumers and competition, and expect to contribute our expertise and resources in proving that the proposed transaction is illegal.”

Sprint’s lawsuit focuses on the competitive and consumer harms which would result from a takeover of T-Mobile by AT&T. The proposed takeover would:

Harm retail consumers and corporate customers by causing higher prices and less innovation.

Entrench the duopoly control of AT&T and Verizon, the two “Ma Bell” descendants, of the almost one-quarter of a trillion dollar wireless market. As a result of the transaction, AT&T and Verizon would control more than three-quarters of that market and 90 percent of the profits.

Harm Sprint and the other independent wireless carriers. If the transaction were to be allowed, a combined AT&T and T-Mobile would have the ability to use its control over backhaul, roaming and spectrum, and its increased market position to exclude competitors, raise their costs, restrict their access to handsets, damage their businesses and ultimately to lessen competition.

Wow, this is almost Gattaca level but without all the Brave New World applications.

Say hello to your new way to get a nice, bronze tan, without the use of a tanning bed or even the sun. It’s an implant the size of a grain of rice that would deliver you a three-month tan without having to sit under the harmful UV rays of the sun.

This implant will find its home right under your skin, where it will deliver a three-month tan without having to use sunbeds. Being no larger than a single grain of rice, this particular implant will stimulate the production of melanin, which is the naturally occurring pigment that controls the skin’s color, alongside the amount of UV radiation that is absorbed.

This is pretty amazing, although of course further testing should be done to ensure health and the risks associated with this creative piece of science. But still, this would be a great step forward into eliminating tanning beds for good and now you won’t even have to worry about evenly spreading your orange fake tan lotion, it’s a win-win!

Yep, on their actual bikini bottoms, these beach volleyball players are taking advantage of a Quick Response (QR) code being printed right on their toned cheeks. The idea is that since their butts are photographed pretty often due to their sport of choice, people might be curious enough to click on their derriere, we know we would…

The matrix barcode will be able to send the user who photographed it using their smartphones to a specific website, making it a guaranteed eye-catcher for sure. No idea on whether other companies are willing to go down a similar route, but this was part of a sponsorship deal struck by Dampney and Mullin, who are currently ranked 26th in the world and are working towards glory in London 2012, with betting firm Betfair.

Parking sucks. There’s really no way around that unless Hermoine can fit my car into her ever-extending magical purse. No, dirty minds allowed, btw. This is Hermoine, sacred ground, now just get back.

So, when someone comes along and tries to help with this horrid affair, we’re always all ears, especially in the case of the I’m sure hot engineers at Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics who have come up with an RFID (radio-frequency identification) tag system that will help ease the pain of parking.

They’ve developed an RFID (radio-frequency identification) tag system that would allow drivers to drive in and out of parking lots with ease and have their parking fees being automatically deducted from an online account.

For those familiar with Singapore will realize that the country already has something similar in place with their “AutoPass” card which is inserted into a card reader that is placed on the windscreen of their car. Upon reaching a parking lot, the machine will scan the card, display its value and allow entry and will do the same upon exit. The value will be stored on the card which can be topped up at 7-11 convenient stores. However it is relatively bulky and can be rather unsightly, not to mention that the card’s monetary value can be used outside of car parks and can be used to pay for groceries and meals which makes it ripe for stealing. Perhaps the RFID solution designed for Munich’s motionID technologies could prove to be a more elegant solution.

The technology uses an adhesive foil RFID chip transponder which is mounted on the inside of the car’s windshield. Measuring at just 1.5 by 10 centimeters (0.5 by 4 inches) it is pretty unintrusive. The device known as VIATAG is now in use in car parks in the cities of Essen, Duisburg and Munich, with the researchers believing that the device could see other uses in the future.

Beware, beware. While you would love to send “LOL” back to your hilarious texting friend, first know that according to a new study 25% of car accidents are due to gadget use while driving.

The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) study shows that 25% of crashes are directly related to turning up the GPS, Facebooking, taking that call or texting hilarious banter to your pals. Do you really want the last thing you did to be, “LOL”?

While some of the information in the 50-page State Farm-grant-produced Distracted Driving: What Research Shows and What States Can Do is contradictory, it’s common sense that if you’re driving while texting or changing the settings of your GPS to a sexy British voice, you’re more than likely to be increasing your risk of an accident.

So, if you don’t wanna go out with “laugh out loud” maybe rethink that witty banter.
