Say hello to you and your kid’s new BFF, Earth Blocks. Basically now you can feel less guilty about purchasing so many plastics-based toys when you shell out $30 for a pack of 50 Earth Blocks from the Guggenheim.

This eco-friendly Lego alternative has been carefully made from cedar tree bark, coffee beans and compressed dust from sawn cedar logs, along with a small amount of polypropylene to hold all those good bits together.

Unfortunately, now that we’re going green with our Legos, we’re sorta trading in the green and other vibrant primary colors for the natural hues of coffee and tree bark, but who says you can’t color these with Crayons and the like?!

Now that’s what I’m talking about! It’s almost Thanksgiving and that means one of two things, one step closer to the real holidays and one step closer to snow, which makes this Crossbow Snow Launcher from Sharper Image bring me that much more excitement this rainy day.

Check out how much fun $40 can buy you as you’re shooting snowballs further than you’ve ever even imagined. This incredibly handy Crossbow Snow Launcher is capable of shooting snowballs up to 60 feet, your enemies won’t know what him them.

I mean, imagine what this could have done for the cast of A Christmas Story. But don’t worry, you won’t poke your eyes out. All you do is pull back on the crossbow’s level until it is firmly locked in place and you’re ready to rock and roll. The snowball press will even help you churn out perfectly sized snowballs simultaneously to ensure your maiming of the opposite team. Best $40 you’ll ever spend.

Who knew that the 1950s-designed Etch-A-Sketch would endure as long as it has and become of late one of the best selling toys in the States, especially since it was a French gadget originally.

But wait, there’s a new game in town and it might just take you and your old Etch-A-Sketch into the third dimension. Say hello to the Connect-A-Sketch, the brainchild of graduate design student Andrew Little.

Simply put, it networks two etch a sketch screens together, so that when you draw something, it instantly appears on your partner’s screen (and vice-versa). If you shake and erase your screen, your partner’s screen will vibrate, letting them know to do the same. The Connect-A-Sketch will be on display at London’s New Designers conference in June.

Well, we’re sold, but we’re an easy target for gadgets like this. Whaddoyou think? You ready to move into the next dimension with the Connect-A-Sketch?

This tiny nifty little gadget that can be used as a magical night light, projects a rainbow onto the walls or ceiling of the room it is placed in, depending on how it is positioned. Other than that, it doesn’t do much of anything else, but if you or your kids always wanted a rainbow indoors, this is the closest thing you can get for now. The toy also comes with a window prism disk for you to create real-life daytime rainbows when it’s too bright to use the projector. It is available on sale now for $17.99 on Amazon.

WowWee has been releasing a lot of programmable robots. From sapiens to dinosaurs, they have many, many little droids in training on the market. This holiday season, they’re going to take it one step further by introducing their very first female robot.

The Femisapien is pretty much like the Robosapien except its designed for girls, and has features like singing and dancing. What I find particularly disturbing is the gratuitous butt shot of the thing as its walking down the red carpet in the intro video on its official site.

This young robot that is surely part of a future invasion that will rule over us all will only set you back $99.
