Well, you’re not alone, as we’re pretty stoked ourselves over here at Gadgetizer.  This new reader will come with a sharp 5″ electronic paper display within a very stylish little chassis and you get to pick the color of your choice, though we’re lovin’ the rose/

One great thing about the PRS-300 is that it’s navigable with just one hand and it’s small enough to go in your jacket pocket.  Cost, $199 and will be debuting later this month.

The new Apple iPhone application will sync in perfectly with any and all reading material you purchase through the Kindle store.  Oh, and did we mention the new app is free? 

Now the iPhone certainly doesn’t hold water to the 16 grays used on the Kindle, but when you’re strapped for cash, this will do just fine.

Hearts is currently in the development phase of their own e-reader, and with so many publications under their belt already (Cosmo, Esquire), they might actually be able to put up a fight against the Kindle.

The rumors are that this new e-reader will be 4 inch x 4 inch screen, rather than the 6×6 screens we have come to expect from eBook readers.

After such a long time without these devices, it looks like we’re now hitting the motherload.

So, what’s new about the Kindle 2?  Well, you’re going to be pleased, we can tell you that much.  Now with 16 shades of gray instead of six, the readability factor is much higher.

The new Kindle also boasts a width of just 1/3 of an inch, which is comparable to most magazines.  The e-reader weighs in at a mere 10.2 ounces, lighter than most paperbacks.

The battery pack has also been improved, giving you 25% more life before having to charge. Better pages turns allow you to turn the e-reader’s pages 20% faster.

So, you see what I mean about you being happy about the second generation Kindle, eh?

At a price point of $359, the Kindle 2 is ready for pre-ordering, as it will be officially released February 24.

With Amazon hosting a large press conference at a library in New York City Monday, all hopes are on the fact that the company is finally going to reveal the next generation Kindle e-reader.

Amazon sold 500,000 Kindles last year alone, and would have potentially sold 750,000 more if they had not run out of stock in November.

With February 9th just around the corner, we have a feeling that the newest Kindle won’t last too long on the shelves either.

All signs are currently pointing to Monday, February 9th as the big unveiling date for the second generation Kindle.  Amazon has announced a large event that day, so we’re pretty much thinking that in less that two weeks we’ll have our eyes full of Kindle 2.
