From CDMAified comes the news that the Nexus One is headed for Verizon and the mobile company will start marketing the superphone later this month or in early April. So, maybe that March 23 date could be right after all?..

Carpuccino Car Runs On Coffee

While some of us may be may of cappuccinos before noon, the Carpuccino eco-friendly car actually runs on them, well, minus the frothed milk that is.

Take a look at this 1988 Volkswagen Scirocco that runs on 56 espressos for a single mile of travel. Wow, we can’t help but think what a waste of perfectly good coffee. This creatively-engineered vehicle can basically run on any brand of espresso as long as it’s very dry and comes in pellet form that will enable air to move though the pile as the coffee burns through the engine.

Talk about lighting the room up when you enter. University of São Paulo fashion design student Kristi Kuusk has recently created an LED lighted skirt.

This simple crocheted skirt will light up the night with LED lights, but only when the lights are out. While this is a great fashion statement, we’re not really clear on how you wash this baby.

You can start pre-ordering the new Apple tablet come March 12 and receive it April 3. Happy Easter to you indeed!

Google Buys Picnik Photo Service

On Monday Google announced their latest acquisition, the free photo service Picnik.

The photo editing site allows users to upload photos and edit them as well as apply effects free of charge. The company states that nothing will be changing with regards to Picnik for the time, they’re just working on the Google integration.
