Wow, the inevitable has finally happened and where are we to go from here?

The Nokia Ovi Store has just added Skype to their list of freely downloadable applications which can essentially make your cell phone calls obsolete by allowing you to speak with your Skype palls over WiFi or a 3G connection.

Now that more than 200 million cell users have access to the new Skype app, what’s this going to mean for cell phone convo usage?

The official word is out, whether you’re in Northern Ireland or Istanbul, you can now access the Nokia Ovi Store.

Go ahead and start buying up those Nokia apps, cause, as Engadget said, the economy isn’t just going to stimulate itself, folks.

Nokia’s Ovi Store To Launch With 20,000 Items

The launch of Nokia’s Ovi Store is just around the corner and we’re all getting hot and bothered with the anticipation.

According to reports, the online store will be launching with no less than 20,000 ‘items’, putting Google’s Android Market to shame with their paltry 50 selections at unveiling. Sorry Google.

Currently Apple offers some 40,000 applications at their App Store, so they might be some hearty competition but we’re still unclear by what Nokia is referring to as an ‘item’.
