From CDMAified comes the news that the Nexus One is headed for Verizon and the mobile company will start marketing the superphone later this month or in early April.  So, maybe that March 23 date could be right after all?..

The new mobile will feature a 2-megapixel camera, standard alphanumeric keypad and possibly a Symbian S40 OS.  The rumor is that Nokia will now start fading out the Mirage now that the Shade has its place in the sun.

Offered by other various carries with the name Snap, Verizon has snapped up the HTC and given it the new name Ozone.

The very affordable 3G QWERTY worldband Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone will only take $50 from your wallet, with a contract of course.  The Ozone sells online June 29 and finally in stores on July 13.

Verizon has just rolled out their new global laptop USB1000 Stick that features EV-DO Rev. A for domestic use  and triband HSPA when you’re living up your globe-trotting life.

The USB1000 costs $150 with contact and a $50 rebate, while the monthyl plans are what gets you at $130 for 100MB of data.

The latest news we could find on the topic of Apple and Verizon iPhone talks dates to late last month.  In late May there was some news that an iPhone would be developed for Verizon’s CDMA wireless network and be available next year. 

While there is no more news as of yet since Apple CEO Steve Jobs has been on medical leave, the “high-level” discussions between the companies appears to be promising.

So, we’re all crossing our fingers for a Verizon iPhone release next year, though I doubt we’ll be holding our breath.

We first learned about the Alias 2 last month and thanks to Howardforums we finally have a video on how the whole thing works.  Actually, as it turns out, it’s not as complicated as we first guessed, the keys are just fixed into a fixed grid and the display label depends on the current orientation.

All in all, it’s not fabulous, but still pretty interesting.  $80 will get you the Alias 2.

Able to convert 3G signals into WiFi for up to five separate devices, the MiFi portable is the answer to many of your business and travel needs.

With a battery life of four hours of activation use and 40 hours of standby time, you will rest assured when flight time comes.  But here’s the rub- for the 250MB version, the MiFi will run you $40 per month, along with the $150 for the device itself.  Is it worth it?  Well, that depends on if you’re having to get a second mortgage or not to afford it.

If the talks with Verizon are productive, then Apple’s new Media Pad device may be going through Verizon’s service, and a direct competitor with Amazon’s Kindle ebook reader.

The Media Pad is slightly smaller than the Kindle, but will have a larger touchscreen and boast a very navigable iTunes store to boot.  With this in mind, it appears as if Apple is readying themselves to take on Amazon and Sony in the ebook reader market, and thus the ebook triumvirate were born…
